Maybe its just my luck…overheating all the time

These were actually my first subs, we set the amp around 70% power and all it does is over heat. but When its working, it REALLY is working (considering its not even all the way up). I do love the subs but the amp totally blows. 2 weeks in and it overheated to its limit i guess, its been days and every time i turn it on, its still blinking (even being ice cold at night). Trying to see if i can exchange or something but shipping is crazy and ill probably get screwed in some way on the return. So i debated giving a 3 star or 4… chose 3 because it doesnt even work anymore. overheated with windows down, air conditioning on, and i hooked up a fan to blow on it.
maybe you’ll have better luck.

A lotta bang for your buck with this package. Totally worth it. If you do get this item, I recommend the 4 gauge wire, because it will make the bass kick super clear, and if you upgrade you can still use the same 4 gauge wire. The only problem I had with this is when the amp overheats it shuts off for a good half hour, sometimes longer. But if that keeps happening, it’s time to get a new amp. But the subs are just fine. It’s always about the amp… stupid amps…

Real good system easy to install yourself and there at the best price ever…other than the fact the amp gets real hot pretty quick and is really undersized for the speakers i recommend them to any one on a budget that’s lookingfor sum nice bass

Great speakers.
They won’t shake the hub caps off the car next to you, but they will rattle your car pretty good. Sounds way better than systems in my friends cars and they paid much much more.

these subs are the best buy ever they really hit hard not complaints at all the amp comes that comes with it is perfect it doesn’t over heat because it has a built-in fan cooler the subs are perfect and it is an enclosed box so it give an solid hitting sound oppose to ported. this is the best package to get if you looking for a set.

I bought my subs locally they work awesome i don’t even have them turned half way up and the hit really really hard they blow my friends system away and he has well over a grand in his. but i would recommend buying them locally of from a authorized dealer so you have warranty just in case. i talked with mtx to find a dealer the dealer on amazon is not a mtx dealer so you wont have a warranty but finger hut is a mtx dealer. but i do love the subs and plain on buying mtx subs for my other cars soon
